Origins 2024 stood out not only for celebrating the country's cultural richness, but also for its commitment to education, sustainability and social impact in the fashion industry.
A Scenario for Sustainable Fashion
With a program that included masterclasses, talks, fashion shows and ephemeral stores, Origins 2024 offered a comprehensive platform to promote sustainable fashion in Peru. Among the featured guests were José Forteza, editor of Vogue Mexico and LATAM; Patrick Duffy, founder of Global Fashion Exchange; and Leticia Faviani, director of Andes Fashion Week Chile. These international figures shared their experience and connected local initiatives with global trends in the sector.
Promoting Emerging Talent
One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the Jóvenes Talentos competition, an initiative to promote emerging designers committed to sustainable practices. Designer Susana Farro Rojas won first place with her Simbiosis collection, a proposal that combined innovation in design with a deep respect for nature and Peruvian cultural traditions.
As part of the award, Susana received a full scholarship for the Fashion & Creativity Management program at ISEM Fashion Business School. This intensive course, held in Madrid, seeks to provide participants with an entrepreneurial vision of the fashion industry and prepare them to lead in a constantly evolving sector.
A Vision for the Future
Origins 2024 stood out not only as a fashion event, but also as an initiative with cultural, environmental and social impact. AMSP, together with partners such as ISEM Fashion Business School, demonstrated that it is possible to combine creativity, sustainability and social responsibility to build a more conscious future in fashion.
With events like this, Peru reinforces its position on the global map of sustainable fashion, encouraging new talents like Susana Farro to become leaders of change in the industry worldwide.
