Nuestro Tiempo magazine, from the University of Navarra, awarded for its coverage of different abilities

The magazine Nuestro Tiempoof the University of Navarra, won two of the three prizes in the "Diversity and Inclusion" media contest , organized for the eighth consecutive year by the City Council of Avila and BBVA. The report "Different talents for luxury designs" and an interview with Fernando Riaño, manager of ILUNION, were the winning texts. The awards ceremony took place at the Palacio de Superunda, in Ávila.

"Inclusion is an important aspect of Nuestro Tiempo's editorial line, so it is a joy to have this effort recognized," said Teo Peñarroja, the magazine's editor and author of the report on "Talentos diferentes" (Different Talents). During the event, the protagonists of the story explained what it has meant for them to be part of this project that highlights the value of different abilities in the design of luxury handbags. This is an initiative of the firm Magalie and Isem Fashion Business School, the fashion school of the University of Navarra.

Margarita Mayoral, director of COPE Ávila, received the award from the radio media for an electoral debate in which people with intellectual disabilities posed questions to local politicians. The special program, entitled Your Vote Countsput the spotlight on special needs in the public debate.
