The students of the Advanced Program in Fashion Business Management (PADEM) celebrated the closing ceremony and presentation of diplomas for the 7th graduating class on July 8. During the ceremony, they were accompanied by Sergio de León, recently appointed CEO of Loewe Perfumes; Marta Torregrosa, academic director of the program and Teresa Sádaba, director of ISEM Fashion Business School.
In his speech, Sergio de León encouraged the students to be aware of the great impact they have: "You have decided to be leaders and there are many people watching you. In this sense, he insisted on the idea that "you are the fashion industry; it is in your hands to show that you are much more than something frivolous or a simple cliché". In short, "we have to show the world that fashion is art".
A "professional oasis
For her part, Marta Torregrosa defined PADEM as "a four-month program that has the capacity to turn Fridays into a professional oasis and that transforms those who do it". She also highlighted some of the keys to good management, such as "the culture of dialogue and daily doses of trust", the latter being understood as the opposite of power as a symbol of control.
In addition, Alfonso de Luján, founder of Parafina and representative of the students, made a short and emotional summary of the four months of the program with his colleagues. In this edition, a total of 23 professionals from companies such as Mayoral, El Corte Inglés, TENDAM, El Ganso and Multiópticas, among others, participated.
