What began as a project of a group of young people to try to improve the impact of the fashion industry, one of the most polluting in the world, has become a reality: Pantala. The garment rental startup was selected to participate in the II edition of Atelier by ISEM for offering an alternative to mass fashion consumption, but updated and adapted to the demands of today's society.
Pantala presents a catalog composed of a wide variety of Spanish brands such as Malababa, Maria Roch, Bleis, Mint&Rose, Mimoki... as well as emerging brands such as Psophia or Amlul, the new brand of the influencer Gala Gonzalez. The business model allows customers to renew, with an invitation, their closet every month. For 69 euros per month, they have the opportunity to choose three garments from their catalog, wear them for a month and choose three new garments for the following month.
An initiative with a positive impact
Francisco Sánchez and Pilar Olmedo, founders of Pantala, saw in Atelier by ISEM the opportunity to put into action the idea that was in their heads, put into practice their skills as entrepreneurs and try to make a positive impact on the planet.
If there is something that defines Pantala is the freedom implicit in every detail: its name itself refers to a species of dragonfly, considered the freest animal in the world. And this is what this startup seeks, to give freedom through fashion, so that each of its customers feel free to choose what they want to wear and when they want to wear it, leaving in their hands the decision of what impact they want to have in the world.
Atelier by ISEM is the first FashTech startup accelerator in Spain. This project of ISEM Fashion Business School-University of Navarra, which will celebrate its IV edition this year, offers startups the opportunity to be accompanied and advised, as well as to test their products in already consolidated companies in different areas of the fashion industry.
