An immersion in the luxury market
Students of the Executive Master's Degree in Fashion Business Management spend a stay in Paris
The students of the Executive Master in Fashion Business Management (MEDEM) of ISEM Fashion Business School made an academic stay at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris.
The first session, Contemporary Fashion in Paris and Key Retail Areas, was led by Aleksandra Olenska, stylist and design consultant, after which Michelle Dossmann, jewelry marketing consultant, spoke about the industry of which she is an expert.
For her part, IFM professor Patricia Romatet gave two lectures on product development in fashion and luxury goods, while her colleague Franck Delpaldelved into the French perspective of the sector.
In addition to analyzing the French market through the classes, the 40 students visited the Première Vision Paris international textile fair, where they received an explanation from textile consultant José María García-Planas. Located at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, it hosted 1,793 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, grouped in 6 halls.
They also had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the online outlet Vente-Privèe. There they were welcomed by Fernando Maudo, general manager of Vente-Privèe in Spain, who spoke about how the company works and its business strategy. The group was also accompanied by Eva Rodríguez, from the Communication and PR department. Europe, and Carlos Álvarez, from International Marketing.
In March, students will travel to Milan for MEDEM's second international academic stay, which will take place at SDA Bocconi School of Management. At this school, they will focus their studies on brand creation and branding management.
