Six startups that can transform the fashion industry
ISEM has launched Atelier, the first Spanish fashion and technology accelerator.
43 candidates. Ten finalists. Six winners. Fashion, technology and entrepreneurship came together on December 15 at the ISEM Fashion Business School of the University of Navarra, which has launched Atelier by ISEM, the first Spanish fashion and technology accelerator.
Efficient stock management with heat maps; prescriptive analytics to improve inventory and in-store management; an application that tells you your exact size; use of big data to know fashion tastes in real time; a tool that allows you to get a second opinion when shopping; and a personalization marketing platform. These are the technological solutions selected by the companies sponsoring Atelier by ISEM: Aristocrazy, Camper, El Corte Inglés, El Ganso, Grupo Cortefiel and Mayoral.
"We are very happy about this first foray into the field of entrepreneurship," said Carmen Azpurgúa, deputy director of ISEM Fashion Business School at the University of Navarra, "because it has been very well received by both the sponsoring companies and the startups. Something that characterizes this first edition of Atelier is the quality of the startups that have applied to participate in the program. "We had a hard time selecting only six because the level was very high," said Almudena Cárdenas, director of innovation at Grupo Cortefiel. For his part, Borja Cembrero, CEO of Naiz.fit, said: "This is what we need: to test with the biggest companies whether our innovation works, whether it makes sense or not".
"Companies that have a great tradition and that make Spain a country that excites abroad," said David Luquin, head of Atelier by Isem, "have watched with excitement and admiration the entrepreneurs, who have really presented their innovations and products very well, which can transform the fashion sector.
In a day attended by sponsors, startups and partners, the six project managers offered by Accenture to lead the acceleration were also present. In the coming days they will carry out a first diagnosis of each startup in order to define the personalized training that will begin on January 15. For their part, the sponsors are already preparing their "homes" to host the entrepreneurs for four months to test their innovations.
Atelier by Isem offers startups the opportunity to be accompanied and advised by consolidated companies in different areas of the fashion industry. But the great distinctive feature of this accelerator is the opportunity to test products for four months in one of the sponsor companies.
What are the six startups of Atelier by ISEM?
Analyticalways participates in Atelier with Machine Learning Money Mapping, which uses predictive analytics and self-learning techniques to feed a heat map type analysis of the product in the store, helping to improve the efficiency of the rotation process and the return on investment.
2. Conver.fit
Personalization marketing tool. It is the technology that is changing the way you sell online. It allows you to personalize the experience of your users and increase the conversion rate of your ecommerce. Its motto? "Increase your sales to infinity in a couple of clicks".
Mobile application that lets you know your exact size. With two images that you take with your cell phone, one front and one side, our algorithms are able to obtain the measurements of your body so that when you buy online you know what sizes you need for each product. Naiz Fit boasts of being able to say goodbye to returns.
4. Nextail
Cloud solution that applies prescriptive analytics and optimization algorithms based on fast-fashion principles to improve inventory distribution and management in the store. In other words, its technology allows them to measure product availability in the store and, through automatic analysis, increase that availability.
A solution that allows you to learn about fashion tastes quickly and in real time using big data. "Learn what's relevant today so you can make smart decisions tomorrow", that's Trendba's motto.
6. Vudoir
It allows your customer to receive a real second opinion about what to buy in your e-commerce and in just a few seconds. How does it work? When you are going to buy a product, you publish the options among which you are hesitating. People who are connected will be able to vote and write comments to help you in your decision.
