Queen Letizia has presented to ISEM Fashion Business School- University of Navarra the "National Award to the Academy and Culture 2015" in the fashion sector. The Queen, accompanied by the Secretary General of Industry and SMEs, Begoña Cristeto, has presided over the delivery of the National Fashion Awards in its third edition, in a ceremony held at the Museo del Traje.

The awards recognize the merit and prestige of the Spanish fashion industry sector, and the finalist nominations represent those companies, individuals, institutions and organizations that have made a significant effort in business excellence in the sector.

During her speech, H.M. the Queen pointed out that these awards recognize an extensive value chain made up of professionals of all kinds: from artisans to digital technologists, because fashion is an industry in transformation. "Our country's fashion is excellent and recognized. The Spanish fashion industry, despite the difficulties, has always maintained the upward line of quality, the tireless encouragement of continuous improvement and the desire to grow and go further," she stressed.

Teresa Sádaba, director of ISEM, explained the center's mission after receiving the award: "ISEM was born to contribute to the development of the fashion sector in Spain, to cultivate talent. Master Balenciaga used to say to his employees that he preferred prestige to fame. Prestige remains, fame is ephemeral. Thank you for this award that gives prestige to our school but above all gives prestige to Spanish fashion". Teresa Sádaba also dedicated the award to the more than 1,000 students who have so far passed through ISEM's classrooms; to the University of Navarra and IESE; to the centers and universities in Paris, Milan and New York with which it has agreements; to the companies that trust in ISEM for the training of their employees and managers; and especially to the entire ISEM team.
