University joins technology startups with Spanish fashion giants
The Atelier by ISEM project will select eight companies to work with Aristocrazy, Boboli, Camper, El Corte Inglés, El Ganso, Tendam, Mango and Mayoral.
Atelier by ISEM of the University of Navarra, the first vertical accelerator in the fashion world, will select eight startups that want to boost their business. The companies will work hand in hand with eight major brands: Aristocrazy, Boboli, Camper, El Corte Inglés, El Ganso, Tendam, Mango and Mayoral.
Atelier by ISEM aims to unite solutions of technological startups with the needs of the fashion industry. To do so, it looks for companies with an innovative approach and that have a project that offers clear solutions to market issues. The objective is twofold: startups test their project in the real world and companies find innovative solutions to their problems.
"We intend for the fashion world to continue to grow with the dynamism that defines it. The magic that Atelier achieved in its first edition was to create an environment in which all those involved have managed to grow. In fact, four of the six projects achieved continuity agreements. From the University of Navarra, we are proud to be able to offer this reliable relationship environment," says Carmen Azpurgua, deputy director of ISEM Fashion Business School.
"Large companies need the agility and freshness of startups. Some of them recognized in the first edition that it would have taken years to develop the projects," says David Luquin, Managing Director of Entrepreneurship and Education at the University of Navarra, and head of the Atelier by ISEM project.
A pilot project that will combine health and fashionThe major new features of the second edition are the launch of a pilot study to monitor the entrepreneur's health and lifestyles and, secondly, the commitment that all projects, regardless of their success, will be documented with a business case. business case which will allow the knowledge to be disseminated in subsequent editions.
The objectives of the health study," explains Luquin, "are to provide tools to the program's mentors and the entrepreneurs themselves to avoid health problems and burnout situations. To this end, the entrepreneurs will be equipped with Fitbit bracelets to monitor changes in their schedules, sleep (quantity and quality), physical activity, and cardiac health".
