As of July 1, Marta Torregrosa Puig will take over the direction of ISEM Fashion Business School at the University of Navarra. Marta Torregrosa is a tenured professor in the School of Communication, with a degree and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Navarra. Her teaching career began in 2003 in the Faculty of Communication of the same academic center. Since then, she has combined teaching with various management and government positions: as secretary and deputy director of the Department of Culture and Audiovisual Communication; coordinator of the degree in Audiovisual Communication, deputy director of the Master in Audiovisual Screenwriting and co-director of the Specialization Program in Fashion Communication.
In the field of fashion, her link with ISEM intensified in 2017, when she was appointed academic director of the Advanced Program in Fashion Business Management (PADEM). Currently, she is part of the Digital Fashion (MODI) research group and the Center for Internet Studies and Digital Life, focusing her research on fashion theory and digital mediatization processes.
With this appointment, she takes over from Teresa Sádaba, who has led ISEM since 2011, when the center was officially incorporated into the University of Navarra. Under her leadership, ISEM has established itself as the fashion business school of reference in Spain, expanding its educational offerings and promoting research and collaboration with the industry and with national and international cultural institutions. As of July, Professor Sábada will become Director of Institutional Relations and Assistant to the Rector.
Sádaba holds a degree in Journalism and a PhD from the School of Communication at the University of Navarra, where she teaches and researches as a professor of communication; she also holds a degree in Political Science from the UNED. Most of her professional career has been spent at the University of Navarra, where she has been Deputy Director of the Master's Degree in Political and Corporate Communication and Academic Director of the Executive Master's Degree in Corporate Reputation of the School of Communication. For a few years, she directed institutional relations at Caja Navarra. In 2011 she rejoined the University and was appointed director of ISEM, a position she has held to date. She is also a visiting professor at the Universitá della Svizzera Italiana and visiting professor at Université Paris XII and George Washington University, among others.
With this new phase, ISEM reinforces its commitment to academic excellence, applied research and innovation at the service of the fashion industry.
