A total of 254 tons of food were the results obtained in the last Great Food Collection organized by the Food Bank of Navarrain collaboration with Diario de Navarra and Tantaka. This figure beat an all-time record in the region and served to alleviate a situation of need that thousands of people in Navarra are currently going through.

Despite the success of the previous event, the lack of basic necessities continues to be one of the biggest problems for low-income families suffering the scourge of the economic crisis. For this reason, Tantaka is once again supporting a new call for the Great Collection through its volunteers, and especially through the dissemination on social networks of the two days of solidarity.

Tantaka encourages the entire university community to participate in the initiative by donating some basic necessities in the respective supermarkets and shopping centers that collaborate with the project; but also by disseminating images, stories or anecdotes on the social network Twitter under the hashtag #GranRecogida, in order to publicize the work being carried out and the spirit of solidarity of the Navarre community.

The diffusion of the two days of the Gran Recogida is almost as important as supporting by donating food, since the multiplying effect of social networks serves as a stimulus for those who have not yet been able to do so but want to collaborate with the initiative.
