Fares Ibrahim Sami and Alejandra Castiella were elected today as delegate and subdelegate of the University of Navarra. Representatives of the fifteen faculties and schools of the academic center participated in the vote.

Fares Ibrahim Sami, a 4th year Pharmacy student of Jordanian origin who has lived in Pamplona for 13 years, highlighted a primary objective for this year: that the students know what is happening at the University: "That all the faculties know what is happening in other centers". He also pointed out that in recent years he has learned a lot being the delegate of the Faculty of Pharmacy and now he wants to continue doing so as the delegate of the University.      

For her part, Alejandra Castiella, from San Sebastian and a 4th year student of Biomedical Engineering at the Tecnun School of Engineering, stressed that her aim is to take advantage of this opportunity to"bring the San Sebastian and Pamplona campuses closer together, so that the two can share ideas". He also stressed the importance of representing the students in order to get all their proposals to the Rector's Office.

The delegates, grouped under the name of Student Representation, meet every two months to decide on the objectives set at the beginning of the academic year, and also on the suggestions that come from all the students. In addition, the Student Representation is part of the Governing Board of the University of Navarra, where students are heard and listened to.
