Rafael Medina: "The key to success is in the attitude".

The executive accompanied the students of the XIX promotion of the Executive Master in Fashion Business Administration on their first day at ISEM.

Rafael Medina, Head of Curation at Wow, gave the inaugural lecture on the first day of the XIX promotion of the Executive Master in Fashion Business Administration (FBA) at ISEM Fashion Business School. Medina revealed that, for him, one of the keys to success lies in one's own attitude: "If you believe in something, go for it; try it". " Attitude beats any CV," he said.

Rafael Medina, who has a long career in the fashion industry as founder of Scalpers and former executive at Massimo Dutti, encouraged the FBA students to make the most of their entry into the sector: "In the fashion industry, the learning process is constant, you never stop learning". Medina also took the opportunity to present his new project: Wow, a phygital fashion platform that will have a physical store of more than 5,500 square meters on Madrid's Gran Vía.


 

55 students of 9 different nationalities

During this first opening day, Teresa Sádaba, director of ISEM Fashion Business School, welcomed the 55 new students of the master's degree and encouraged them to "be a source of inspiration and make a difference", both in class and in the sector and society. In this sense, she encouraged them to "squeeze every moment within the master's program", but also to have fun: "This is a year that will never be repeated".

The 19th graduating class of the Executive Master in Fashion Business Administration (FBA) has 18% international profiles from Andorra, Argentina, El Salvador, Greece, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland and Portugal. In addition, the new students have studied very heterogeneous degrees: Business Administration and Management; Law; Design; Economics; Engineering; ISSA; Marketing; Journalism; Psychology; Advertising and Public Relations; and International Relations.
