Pedro Lozano Bartolozzi , professor emeritus of the School of Communication at the University of Navarra, presented his new book in Madrid, Current Geopolitical Challenges. The book offers a critical approach to the current geopolitical panorama and an analysis to channel globalization.

The event, which took place at 7.45 p.m. at the headquarters of the University of Navarra at Calle Zurbano 73, was attended by the author, José María Legorburu, secretary of the Spanish Society of Journalism; Pedro Rodríguez, ABC columnist; and Francisco Aldecoa, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Current Geopolitical Challenges analyzes "the course of events that are changing the world in which we live". "The new century is not unfolding in a hegemonic or multipolar order of renewal. The present scenario is as unstable as it is inoperative," confesses Pedro Lozano.

In his new book, the author presents the current horizon as "an archipelago of imperial powers and Lilliputian nations, crossed by an irruption of transnational actors, interests and forces that break down borders and deregulated legal frameworks". "The crisis of uncontrolled capitalism, asymmetrical neo-war, environmental deterioration, the growing inequalities of underdevelopment, migrations, the multicultural puzzle, all come together with overflowing supranational organizations," he points out.

Published by EUNSA, the 266-page book will be presented together with El rapto del periodismo, a book recently published by the author in which he discusses the current challenges of the communication ecosystem.

Pedro Lozano Bartolozzi, professor emeritus of the School of Communication, president of the Society of Historical Studies of Navarre (SEHN) and journalist, is the author of 28 books, including academic and literary works.
