"Good taste is born from good education; it is cultivated by living culture". This was stated by Miguel Angel Recio, general director of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), during the second cultural colloquium organized by ISEM Fashion Business School , which aims to promote and promote knowledge of fashion in its most varied cultural and social manifestations.
During the talk, entitled 'Fashion and Performing Arts', he pointed out that "fashion is linked to INAEM, especially through dance and theater. When making costumes for these disciplines, designers have to take into account the need for mobility of artists, the lighting of the work, etc.. It's not just about designing, it's much more complex, it's about having a conversation". He added that "there is a bidirectional influence between theater and fashion design, as both worlds learn from each other". He also referred to opera as "the culmination of all the arts." "It's a conjunction of egos," he assured.
On the other hand, he referred to the importance of fashion in royalty: "Throughout history, each monarch has wanted to reflect his or her own taste. Fashion linked to the monarchy is a message of identity. Kings reflect their identity through their clothing".
Finally, he spoke about beauty:"Fashion has to be presided over by the search for beauty. Sometimes they try to make us see that something that is not beautiful is beautiful. Beauty has a strong subjective charge, but the objective also has the right to rebel," she explained.
