ISEM has signed a framework collaboration agreement with Generation Code, regional representative of Code.org, the global organization that promotes the teaching of computer science and artificial intelligence in the classroom; with which relevant international figures such as Bill Gates, Shakira or Marc Benioff (CEO of Salesforce) collaborate, and which has the support of major technology and educational companies committed to promoting digital education worldwide. In Spain, the project has been backed by companies such as Telefónica, Santander, Endesa, Cellnex and BBVA.
The agreement, signed by Marta Torregrosa, director of ISEM, and Fran García del Pozo, founder of Generación Code, aims to promote the development of digital talent, boost educational innovation and reduce the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines.
As Del Pozo pointed out, "collaborating with institutions such as ISEM allows us to continue bringing technology closer to more people, awakening digital vocations and promoting a more diverse, equitable and humane education in artificial intelligence".
Thanks to this alliance, both institutions will work together on training initiatives, research projects and outreach activities that bring technology closer to the educational and business community, promoting inclusive and future-oriented learning.
"This agreement," explained Marta Torregrosa, " responds to our commitment to the challenges and needs of society. At ISEM we recognize the importance of training and learning as key activities for the development of people. Together with Generación Code we want to promote projects that bring AI closer to girls and young people, awaken technological vocations, and prepare a future with critical thinking, creativity and ethical responsibility".
