"M Missoni allows to reinvent the collections without losing the traditional values of the house".

"M Missoni allows us to reinvent the collections without losing the traditional values of the house". So said Margherita Maccapani Missoni, creative director of M Missoni, on the occasion of the VII Annual Meeting of ISEM Fashion Business School. In this sense, Margherita confessed that "the most exciting part of my new position is the opportunity and the challenge of giving the brand its own identity, without losing sight of the Missoni essence".

During the meeting, which was attended by more than 140 people, Margherita Missoni announced her strategy as the new creative director of M Missoni: "M wants to be humble and not at all presumptuous, a brand that transmits values and that everyone can wear". In short, "a way of speaking to a younger public within the Missoni universe".

When asked what the challenges of the fashion sector were, Margherita did not hesitate: sustainability. "Although it can be said that Missoni is already a sustainable brand, its sister M Missoni is looking for a different ecological idea, with sustainable and controlled materials."

The Annual Meeting was attended by more than 140 alumni and friends of ISEM.

Margherita Maccapani Missoni is the first granddaughter of Rosita and Ottavio Missoni, founders of the legendary Italian brand. From her beginnings in the fashion world, Margherita assumed the role of brand ambassador and contributed considerably to Missoni's creative redesign, bringing her own concept of informal and independent elegance.

In addition, since 2010 she has worked alongside Missoni' s team of designers in the design and development of the brand's accessories collections, including footwear, handbags, eyewear and jewelry, as well as its swimwear collections. In October 2018, she was appointed Creative Director of M Missoni, the brand's youth brand, and her first collection will see the light of day for the Spring-Summer 2020 season.

ISEM Fashion Business School, the only business school specialized in fashion in Spain, organizes this type of activities with executives and personalities of the sector with the aim of becoming a link between the academic and business world.
