Rocío Elízaga has a degree in Law and Business Administration. She has experience in investment banking. She completed a Master in Fashion Retail Management at London College of Fashion (University of the Arts London) with a research thesis on sustainability and children's fashion. She holds a PhD in Applied Creativity, with a thesis on "Strategy and competitiveness in the children's textile retail sector in Spain".

She worked at Business of Fashion. Currently, she combines her research work with teaching at ISEM and at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Navarra.
